Celebrity hype at JCK Las Vegas 2008!

On Tuesday, May 27, comedian Dana Carvey will entertain a select group of the JCK audience at LUXURY by JCK. A repertory member of Saturday Night Live for seven seasons from 1986 to 1992, Dana is best known for his characters the Church Lady; Hans, of the Hans and Franz body building duo; Garth, Wayne Campbell’s (Mike Meyer’s) “Excellent Co-Host” on the immensely popular sketch “Wayne’s World”; and the Grumpy Old Man on the “Weekend Updates” segment.  In addition to these characters, Dana has received widespread praise for his uncanny comedic impersonations of such political figures as former President George Bush, H. Ross Perot, Jerry Brown, David Duke and Bob Dole. 

And Russell Simmons will open JCK Las Vegas on Friday, May 30 with a keynote presentation on his success story and his involvement with the Diamond Empowerment Fund. The hip-hop pioneer and American entrepreneur will share insights on how he built and continues to grow his multi-faceted entertainment and fashion empire.

To celebrate the opening of JCK Las Vegas 2008, the Show will play host to the annual Welcome Reception featuring a runway fashion show for the first time ever! Spot the newest trends in jewellery and the hottest looks in design on the runway on Friday evening, May 30. Guests will be welcomed with passed champagne and hors d’oeuvres making for an intimate setting to network with the jewellery community and discover some new designs.
