The Reed Elsevier Group plc Board consists of four executive directors: Sir Crispin Davis, Chief Executive Officer, Mark Armour, Chief Financial Officer, Erik Engstrom and Andrew Prozes.

Their work is overseen by six independent non-executive directors. These are: Jan Hommen - Chairman, Mark Elliott, Lisa Hook, Robert Polet, David Reid - who became senior independent non-executive director from 1 July 2007, and Lord Sharman.
