Ian joined Reed Elsevier in 2005 and directs human resources across all the divisions of the Reed Elsevier Group.

He joined Reed Elsevier in September 2005. Prior to this he held a number of Group HR Director roles in FTSE 100 companies, most notably in BHP Billiton plc from March 1998 until joining Reed Elsevier. 

He has a joint M.A. (Hons.) from Edinburgh University in Philosophy & Psychology, a MBA in Finance and International Business from London's City University and is a Chartered Psychologist.
