World Future Energy Summit

 The World Future Energy Summit (WFES) is the world’s foremost annual event, dedicated to advancing future energy, energy efficiency and clean technologies. WFES includes a world class summit, an international exhibition, the Project & Finance Village, the Young Future Energy Leaders programme, corporate meetings and social events. The Summit attracts world leaders, international policy makers, industry leaders, investors, experts, academia, intellectuals and journalists, to discuss practical and sustainable solutions to future energy challenges.

  • The 6th edition of WFES was held over three days, 15-17 January 2013 at ADNEC
  • 25,831 attended WFES 2013 representing 155 countries
  • 650 companies exhibited from 40 countries
  • Over 2,000 unique products were showcased during the course of the exhibition
  • Locals visitors exceeded the international ones for the first time (50.2 per cent international vs 49.8 per cent international)  
  • 91 official delegations
  • Over 160 leaders and experts spoke at the Summit
  • The opening ceremony welcomed over 3,400 attendees
  • 728 media registrations from 36 countries
  • Targeted audience from the renewable energy, energy efficiency, solar power, wind and waste management industry
  • The 6th edition was supported by IRENA
  • The first International Water Summit was co-located with the World Future Energy Summit 2013
  • WFES 2013 also featured Project & Finance Village, Technology Exchange Platform, the Energy Outlook Forum by ExxonMobil, Green Ideas, Green Jobs and the “New Product” guide about newly launched products
  • The 7th edition will be held from 21-23 January 2014 at ADNEC

International Water Summit

The International Water Summit (IWS), hosted by Masdar, is a unique global platform for promoting water sustainability in arid regions by policymakers, scientists and business leaders to tackle the urgent water and wastewater challenges facing arid regions.

  • The 1st edition of IWS 2013 was held over three days, 15-17 January at ADNEC
  • 4,736 attended IWS 2013 representing over 75 countries
  • 162 companies exhibited from 20 countries
  • Over 30 new products were showcased during the course of the exhibition
  • The Summit attendance reached up to 117 international delegates
  • 91 official delegations
  • Over 117 leaders and experts spoke at the Summit
  • The opening ceremony alone welcomed 3,400 attendees
  • Targeted audience from the desalination, water re-use, wastewater treatment and management industry
  • IWS 2013 also featured Innovate @ IWS, Project Stream and the Sustainable Solution Village
  • The 2nd edition will be co-located with the World Future Energy Summit and will be held from 21-23 January 2014 at ADNEC
