Batimat is the international event for building.
Batimat 2013 will be at the heart of challenges facing construction and in particular those relating to energy performance and low consumption. The 2011 show presented numerous innovative products and stimulated a host of discussions, encouraging the sharing of experience on this strategic subject.
In 2011, some 351,748 visitors (19 per cent came from outside France from 177 countries) attended Batimat.
10 countries accounted for 45 per cent of the show's foreign visitors: Morocco, Tunisia, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Algeria, Brazil, Portugal, Switzerland and Germany.
Visitors to Batimat include contractors, specifiers, owners, merchant and distribution, manufacturers, and the service sector.
Batimat had 105,570m² of exhibition space in 2011, with 2,300 exhibitors (45 per cent from abroad).
Batimat’s main sectors are structure, joinery and fenestration, internal and external fittings, worksite equipment and tools, vehicles and equipment, and IT.
A new venue for Batimat 2013 to generate new synergy
In order to further boost the world’s leading construction show given the work scheduled for Porte de Versailles, Batimat is moving to the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre in 2013. This move allows it to join up with Interclima+elec and Idéo bain to create an unprecedented global event that will involve more than 3,500 exhibitors and 400,000 visitors from all over the world.
At a time when sustainable construction demands an increasingly overall approach, the joint staging of these three major shows will offer building professionals a unique and fantastic opportunity to discover all the solutions, techniques and materials for the full range of the sector’s trades.
